Thank you, friend, for missing, seeking , finding, and telling the beauty that is yours by birthright. I'm even more inspired to admire Templeton's grandmother oaks
I have a fond memory of staying in an Airbnb in Templeton right next to a Grandma Oak Grove. I watched the squirrels socializing and practicing their calisthenics in the branches as I drank my tea. Here is a video of the Oak trees being harvested for food by a joyful Native woman in Yosemite in the 1930's. I know you'll love it!
I know this one would speak specifically to you Stephanie! I know you will experience the wonder in these magnificent trees. Even the little young ones are special too.

I found this incredibly touching, healing, moving, and inspiring. Thank you for writing so tenderly about the beauty in this world Alissa.

Thank you for sharing this reverence.
Interesting these trees are or at least were at risk for being felled to make room for an RV park. But so far, that hasn’t happened.
I'm glad to hear that! Do you know the Legacy Forest Defense Coalition? They might be interested in this, if they aren't already involved.
